The Ocean
I had to run a few errands today and decided to make a quick stop to look at the ocean. I'm so glad I did. It was beautiful - a cool breeze, warm sun. This is where I found God today.
Beautiful pictures. I think God must have inspired the invention of the camera. He knew that creating the beauty in mother nature wasn't going to be enough for us humans. He knew we needed to be able to freeze these beautiful moments in time to enjoy them again and again so sometime long ago he planted the idea of the camera in someone's mind, and here we are. I wish he would inspire someone to invent a gadget to capture the smells of childhood just like a photograph. Mom's Lasagna, the detergent she used on our clothes, the mix of grass and pine tar and leather on that baseball field in little league. These things have a beauty all their own. Oh well, maybe he's planning that for the next iPad.
